I feel that the last point is the biggest factor. The very large misconception in the player base that the Silver Thorn subclan is the only viable deck to play in Pale Moon. Personal Stride support from FC2015 and Crossride support from BT12 and BT15. Potential subclan support in GBT05 and GBT06. Looking at Shadow Paladins on the other hand, their 8 boss monsters are worth around 35-50 each, plus their staple units come from both trial deck (Which you need 4 of to max out), Perfect Guards which are expensive, a 20-30 dollar Legend deck, plus any new Fighter's Collection/G-BT03 support like Aurageyser if you decide to run it.
Which at max will likely be in the 200-300 dollar range.
Besides the 8 boss monsters of your deck, everything besides the perfect guards and your stride deck consists of commons and rares. If you're looking at being competitive in a tournament that has lots of meta, don't expect to win without luck and a lot of skill, Silver Thorns or not.Īlso, looking at things subjectively, this deck is practically worth hardly anything not counting the 2-3 Regular Luquier, 3-4 Venus Luquier, Mystique Luquier, and maybe the 2-3 Luquier Reverse and Hypnotist Lydia. What do you do? Make due with the Legion unit if you can't afford Silver Thorn support. They lack a stride fodder yet to make them anywhere near relevant and their early rush tactics can hurt main decks, but lack a finisher to really seal the deal if the other deck can come back from that. Even if you run Silver Thorns, as you already said they're not played anywhere. You want to run Silver Thorns because they're expensive, but you complain because non Silver Thorn pales aren't not consistent and don't have much oomph. Venus Luquier is from an old set nobody's buying anymore save random people trying for Maelstrom/Dragonic Burnout/Glendios. She's a RRR and she's a staple card of the deck without any reprints.
Regular Luquier is from a set that's not in print anymore and is hard to find.
